Germany applies stricter Covid-19 rules

To enter Germany, the transport sector is still exempt from the corona measures.

There are no border controls and no vaccination, recovery, or test proof is required upon entry.

As of today, Germany has stricter corona rules for everyday life.
In the leisure sector, for example in cinemas, zoos, swimming pools, restaurants, at concerts, at Christmas markets and in sports stadiums, 2G applies. This only allows access for “vaccinated” and “cured” people.

The 3G rule in buses and trains and in the workplace will apply nationally from today.

Note: As of this week, German employees must provide proof of vaccination or recovery, or provide proof of negative test to the employer twice a week. It seems that many other companies, especially in the transport sector in Germany, are also implementing this rule for foreign drivers.

So mind that your drivers will be asked for their QR code.
This often already applies in Italy and Austria. With loading and unloading, it is sometimes still overlooked, or the warehouse employees take over this task from the driver. It remains to be seen how this will develop in Germany. We advise you to keep in touch with your customers in Germany to find out how they enforce the rules.
