The European Commission is investigating a potential tire cartel

The European Union has launched a large-scale investigation into a possible tire cartel. Several major manufacturers within the tire market are being investigated for suspected price-fixing agreements. Although there is not yet a definitive ruling, this investigation, similar to previous cartel cases, may lead to damage claims for transport companies.

Don’t miss the opportunity to participate
Based on our experience with previous claim procedures, we know one thing for certain: the biggest problem is always collecting old invoices. These invoices often turn out to be lost, destroyed, or incompletely archived. That is precisely why we are sending this message now. If invoices are no longer available, a claim simply cannot be submitted. For this reason, it is crucial that you do not discard your older tire invoices.

What does this mean concretely for you?
We strongly advise you to retain all tire invoices from 2016 through 2025.
Pay particular attention to the years 2016, 2017, and especially 2018, as these often fall outside the statutory retention period for many Dutch companies. These years may be decisive in a potential damages claim. Discarding them means unnecessary financial loss.

Our new platform: collectiveclaims.eu
To help you be optimally prepared for a possible damages claim, Transport in Nood has developed a new platform: collectiveclaims.eu.

This platform is designed to store invoices securely in digital form, fully encrypted and compliant with the latest ISO certifications. You only need to upload your invoices, after which:

  • Your invoices are automatically processed
  • A structured overview is created, including invoice numbers, suppliers, tire sizes, net prices, and volumes
  • The data can be easily exported (e.g., via Excel)
  • A complete file is generated that lawyers can work with immediatel

The power of collective action
By bundling as many clients as possible:

  • Stronger case files are created
  • Better negotiation positions are achieved
  • Specialized claim lawyers across Europe can be engaged
  • Greater freedom of choice arises regarding where and how a claim is filed

📅 Platform launch: March 2026
📝 Pre-registration is already possible (free of charge)
