According to the police, bullbars on vehicles over 3,500 kg would be prohibited, but no explicit legal ban exists.<br \/><br \/>According to Kevin Vierhout of ITL Attorneys, the current enforcement is based on a legally questionable interpretation and a ruling that lacks concrete technical substantiation. The law does not impose a ban, but it does set requirements, such as the European R61 certification. Reputable brands such as Hypro, MRK and Trux comply with these standards.<br \/><br \/>Following a social media message from the Traffic Police East Netherlands, enforcement has intensified. As of April 1, active inspections are taking place, with bullbars in some cases required to be removed on-site and fines being issued.<br \/><br \/>For this reason, Transport in Nood and BIGtruck Magazine, together with Kevin Vierhout of ITL Attorneys, are preparing legal action against the Dutch state, on behalf of bullbar suppliers in the Netherlands, including MRK, Convoy Truckparts, Steve\u2019s Place, Go-In-Style, Bulthuis and Trux. The initial objective is to suspend enforcement pending a clear court ruling based on legislation and facts.<br \/><br \/><strong>Have you received a fine?<\/strong><br \/>Do not pay it immediately, but file an appeal via Transport in Nood (No Cure No Pay).
