This means that\u00a0<strong>no further legal action will be taken against the involved carriers for now.<\/strong><\/p><p data-end=\"133\" data-start=\"119\">The postponement follows a request from International Transport Denmark (ITD) to obtain clarification from the European Court of Justice regarding the legality of the current Danish fine system. At this moment fines are issued at a fixed rate of\u00a0<strong>4,500 DKK (and since 1 July 2025: 9,000 DKK)\u00a0<\/strong>regardless of the circumstances. According to ITD, this may be in violation of EU law.<\/p><p data-end=\"133\" data-start=\"119\">It is important to note that transport companies are still receiving toll fines from Denmark. Until the European Court provides clarity, our advice remains unchanged: <strong data-end=\"998\" data-start=\"972\">do not pay these fines<\/strong>.
