United Kingdom update 21-4-2021

Since 20-4-2021, the Kent Access Permit (KAP) is no longer required if you are driving a truck to the EU from the port of Dover or the Eurotunnel.

The KAP had to be requested before arriving in Kent, but this registration has now been deactivated on the website.

However, it is still important to check whether you have the correct freight documents, because when papers are missing you will be turned away.

It is possible that the KAP will be reactivated if waiting times in Kent are going to increase.

Reminder:

You need to register within 48 hours before entry into the UK using the Passenger Locator Form. Drivers traveling to the UK who will be staying in the UK for less than 48 hours are exempt from quarantine and are not required to present a corona test upon arrival in the UK.

You do not need to self-isolate or take a coronavirus test on day 2 and day 8, unless you have been in a country on the travel ban red list in the last 10 days.
